Taylor Sheridan’s Landman is heading back to West Texas, and Season 3 is already bringing a notable change to the show’s ensemble.
Paramount+ has confirmed that production on the third season began October 1, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas. Along with the start of filming, the streamer announced that four familiar faces from the series have been promoted to series regulars. Michael Kelly is also joining the cast as a new series regular.
The news gives fans a clearer picture of where Landman is heading next while leaving several major story details under wraps.
Landman Season 3 Makes Four Cast Promotions
The biggest casting development involves four actors who previously appeared in recurring roles.
Colm Feore, Mustafa Speaks, Bobbi Salvor Menuez and Francesca Xuereb have all been promoted to series regulars for Season 3, according to Paramount+.
Feore plays Nathan, while Speaks portrays Theodore “Boss” Ramone. Menuez plays Paigyn Meester, and Xuereb appears as Cheyenne.
The promotion does not automatically reveal what will happen to their characters. However, moving four performers into the regular cast indicates that these characters will have a more established place in the Season 3 ensemble.
For viewers catching up before the new season, it is worth checking the character names and previous appearances rather than relying only on social media posts. Cast announcements can sometimes leave out important context about how much screen time a character will actually receive.
Why the Cast Change Matters for Season 3
A larger regular ensemble could give Landman more room to explore storylines beyond Tommy Norris.
The series has always balanced the business side of the Texas oil industry with the personal lives of the people working around it. With Nathan, Boss Ramone, Paigyn and Cheyenne now officially part of the regular cast, Season 3 has several established characters it can continue developing.
That does not necessarily mean each character will receive the same amount of screen time. It simply confirms that all four have been elevated within the show’s official Season 3 cast structure.
That distinction is important because early entertainment reports often turn casting announcements into predictions about individual storylines. For now, Paramount has confirmed the casting changes but has not revealed detailed arcs for the four characters.
Michael Kelly Joins Landman as William Crockett
The other major change is the arrival of Michael Kelly.
Kelly, known for House of Cards, Jack Ryan, The Penguin and Taylor Sheridan’s Lioness, will join Landman as a Season 3 series regular. He will play William Crockett, described by Paramount+ as the leader of the world’s largest oil management firm.
Crockett is positioned as a major figure in the oil industry, making Kelly’s character particularly relevant to the business world at the center of Landman.
Kelly’s casting also gives the series another performer with an established connection to Sheridan’s television universe. He currently appears in Lioness, another Sheridan production on Paramount+.
For Landman viewers, the practical takeaway is simple: William Crockett is not just another new face. Paramount has identified him as a major industry figure within the Season 3 story.
Landman Season 3 Cast: What’s New and What’s Changing?
Here is the current confirmed picture of the Season 3 ensemble:
| Cast Member | Character | Season 3 Status | What’s Confirmed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Colm Feore | Nathan | Series Regular | Promoted |
| Mustafa Speaks | Theodore “Boss” Ramone | Series Regular | Promoted |
| Bobbi Salvor Menuez | Paigyn Meester | Series Regular | Promoted |
| Francesca Xuereb | Cheyenne | Series Regular | Promoted |
| Michael Kelly | William Crockett | Series Regular | New for Season 3 |
| Billy Bob Thornton | Tommy Norris | Returning | Main Cast |
| Demi Moore | Cami Miller | Returning | Main Cast |
Paramount+ has also confirmed the return of Andy Garcia, Ali Larter, Sam Elliott, Jacob Lofland, Michelle Randolph, Paulina Chávez, Kayla Wallace, Mark Collie and James Jordan.
Billy Bob Thornton and the Main Cast Are Returning
The heart of Landman remains intact.
Billy Bob Thornton returns as Tommy Norris, the central character at the center of the show’s oil-industry drama. Demi Moore is also returning as Cami Miller, alongside Andy Garcia, Ali Larter and Sam Elliott.
The broader returning cast includes several characters who have become important to the show’s West Texas storyline. Paramount’s Season 3 announcement confirms these performers as part of the returning ensemble.
That means Season 3 is not starting over with a completely new cast. Instead, the show is expanding its existing world while adding Kelly’s William Crockett to the mix.
Where Season 2 Left Tommy Norris
Spoiler warning for Season 2.
Season 2 ended with a major shift for Tommy.
Cami, played by Demi Moore, fired Tommy, changing his professional position within the oil business. Tommy subsequently launched his own company, CTT Oil Exploration and Cattle.
That development provides an important starting point for Season 3.
Tommy is no longer simply operating from the same position he held earlier in the series. The introduction of William Crockett, meanwhile, adds another powerful figure from the oil-management side of the business.
Exactly how those worlds will intersect remains one of the major unanswered questions heading into the new season.
When Will Landman Season 3 Premiere on Paramount+?
Production on Season 3 officially began October 1, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas.
Paramount+ has confirmed the production start, but the latest official announcement does not provide a Season 3 premiere date.
That means viewers should be careful with online reports claiming a specific release day unless Paramount+ officially confirms it.

What We Know About the Landman Season 3 Story
The confirmed details give fans several pieces of the puzzle, but the full story remains under wraps.
Tommy Norris is returning after the major changes at the end of Season 2. William Crockett will enter the story as the leader of the world’s largest oil management firm. Four recurring characters are also moving into series-regular positions.
The series continues to be set around the oil boom in West Texas, maintaining the setting that has defined Landman from the beginning.
Beyond those confirmed details, viewers will have to wait for official trailers, episode information and additional announcements before drawing conclusions about specific Season 3 storylines.
What This Means for Landman Fans
The Season 3 casting news points to an expanded ensemble rather than a major reset.
Four existing characters are getting a larger official role, while Michael Kelly brings a new industry heavyweight into the series. Billy Bob Thornton and the other major returning performers keep the show’s established core in place.
If you’re preparing for Season 3, revisiting the second season is the most useful way to refresh the major character relationships. In particular, pay attention to Tommy’s changing position in the oil business and the relationships surrounding Cami.
Those details should make the transition into the new season easier to follow once new episodes arrive.
